The classroom doesn’t have walls.
Harvest season is a final exam.
Students run real acreage — soil to silo. When the combines roll in October, the grade on your transcript is sitting in a grain truck.
Calving season doesn’t wait for the bell.
Livestock students learn the rhythms of the herd — tagging, feeding, weaning, and everything in between. When a calf needs colostrum at 4am, someone answers.
A working hive is a living classroom.
From frame inspections to honey extraction, apiary students manage a working operation — and sell the product at local markets under the YSA label.
Every bloom is a small business.
Horticulture and apiary students propagate, grow, and sell — learning plant science, market pricing, and food systems through live retail enterprises.
