Board of Trustees
Governance with students at the centre.
The Yuill School of Agriculture is being built by many hands — and the Prairie Rose Public Schools Board of Trustees has been central to bringing it to life.
The Board’s Role
Strategic clarity, looking past the classroom and into the careers students will build.
The Board provides governance to the entire school division. Their charge is direct: ensure every student in Prairie Rose has access to exceptional learning experiences, aligned with a strategic plan that looks beyond the classroom and into the careers students will build.
For YSA students, that strategic clarity is the foundation of everything that follows. A fully accredited Alberta diploma. Dual-credit partnerships with Medicine Hat College, Lakeland College, and Olds College. Industry connections wired into the curriculum from Day One. Career pathways into agriculture, trades, post-secondary, and direct employment that aren’t theoretical — they’re built right into the program.
The Board’s leadership is part of what makes that possible.
A Word from the Superintendent
Every part of the Yuill School of Agriculture has been built around one question: what will give our students the best possible foundation for the careers ahead of them? The answers came from our Board of Trustees, our Advisory Council, and the agriculture community of Southeast Alberta. None of it would have been possible without the foundational generosity of the Yuill family — or the time, resources, and faith of every donor and supporter who has stood with this project. I am deeply grateful to all of them, and proud of what we’ve built together.
