The Yuill School of Agriculture exists because of the people who believe in what it’s building — not just students and families, but ranchers, agribusinesses, educators, and community members who want to see agricultural education thrive in Alberta.

A Community School

This school wasn’t dreamt up behind a desk. It was shaped around kitchen tables, in shop offices, at auction rings, and after long days in the field — by people who wanted Alberta’s next generation to understand the land that feeds them.

There are four ways to be part of it

For Students

Ready for something different?

Are you a student in Grade 9 or above who is ready for something different? YSA is the only high school in Alberta where agriculture is the entire curriculum — not just a class.

  • Earn your Alberta high school diploma while working a real farm
  • Choose one of 12 specialized program pathways
  • Get industry certifications before you graduate
  • Connect with professionals who will know your name and your work

For Parents

A real school. With real answers.

We know the questions parents ask. Is this a real school? Will my child get their diploma? What does post-secondary look like? What is the campus like? We have answers to all of these — and we’d love to show you.

  • YSA students earn a full Alberta diploma, not a modified credential
  • All core curriculum requirements (Math, English, Science, Social Studies) are met — taught through the lens of agriculture
  • Strong post-secondary pathways to colleges and universities
  • A safe, structured campus with a strong student support environment

For Industry Partners

Don’t just fund it. Shape it.

YSA’s industry partnerships are the engine that makes this school different. We’re not asking you to donate money to a program you never see. We’re inviting you to shape it — through mentorship, advisory roles, equipment partnerships, site visits, and work experience placements.

  • Join the Advisory Council
  • Provide a mentorship placement for a student in your field
  • Offer a site visit, guest speaker session, or field day
  • Contribute equipment, resources, or scholarships
One Last Thing

If this school matters to you, tell us.

Whether you want to apply, tour, mentor, donate, or just ask a question — the door is open. YSA is a community school. That starts with a conversation.
