For Industry Partners

Your Industry Needs These Graduates.

Alberta agriculture employs more than 83,000 people — with nearly 20,000 positions projected unfilled by 2029. YSA is the most direct solution to that challenge. And you can be part of building it.

Why Partner With YSA

Five reasons agricultural businesses are already at the table.

01

Shape the curriculum.

Advisory Council members help ensure YSA graduates have the exact skills your sector needs — not someone else’s assumption of those skills.

02

First access to talent.

YSA graduates come pre-equipped with certifications, hands-on experience, and your sector’s language — not a year of onboarding.

03

Build your brand.

Position your business as a leader in agricultural education and rural workforce development — in front of the families and producers you already serve.

04

Recognized contribution.

Tax-receipted recognition for equipment and monetary contributions, where applicable — the support you give translates back into your bottom line.

05

Industry recognition.

Featured in YSA marketing, events, and programming — reaching producers, students, families, and the broader Alberta ag community.

Ways to Get Involved

Five ways to be part of building YSA.

  • Join the Advisory Council.

Attend quarterly meetings to review curriculum, advise on industry trends, and connect the school to your professional network. No large time commitment — high impact. Learn more about the Advisory Council.

  • Offer a mentorship.

Be paired with a YSA student in your field for job-shadowing, site visits, or regular check-in conversations throughout the school year. The most direct way to shape one student’s trajectory.

  • Host a site visit or field day.

Invite a YSA program group to your operation — a farm tour, processing facility visit, or equipment demonstration. One of the most valuable experiences we can offer students, and one of the most achievable for partners.

  • Contribute equipment or resources.

Donate or loan equipment, software licenses, inputs, or facilities to YSA programs. Contributions are recognized and, where applicable, tax-receipted.

  • Fund a scholarship or bursary.

Recognize outstanding YSA students with named scholarships — an opportunity to connect your brand with the next generation of agricultural leaders for years to come.
