You’re welcome to browse our Site, read about the school, learn about events, fill out our forms, and share our pages with others. We ask that you use the Site:

  • Lawfully and respectfully
  • In a way that doesn’t disrupt the Site for other visitors

When you fill out a form on our Site, you’re sharing information with us voluntarily. By submitting, you confirm that:

  • The information you’ve provided is accurate to the best of your knowledge
  • You have the right to share any information you submit (for example, you’re not submitting someone else’s contact information without their permission)
  • You consent to us using your information in accordance with our Privacy Policy

6. Donations and the donor portal

When you click “Donate Now” on our Site, you’ll be taken to our secure donor portal hosted by DonorSupport. That portal is operated by a third party. Their terms and privacy practices apply to your activity there. We do not collect or process your payment information directly — it stays between you and the portal.

YSA is a registered Canadian charity (#140249897RR0001). Eligible donations qualify for an official tax receipt issued in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency rules.

7. External links and embedded content

Our Site links to and embeds content from third-party services we use (such as Vimeo for video, DonorSupport for donations, and partner organization websites). We don’t control those third parties and aren’t responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices. When you follow a link or use an embedded service, you’re subject to that third party’s terms and privacy policies — please review them.

8. Forward-looking information

Yuill School of Agriculture is set to open in Fall 2027. Much of the information on our Site describes our plans, programs, partnerships, facilities, and timelines as we currently envision them. Real-world implementation may evolve. We’ll do our best to keep the Site current, but specifics may change between now and opening day. Don’t rely on any specific detail (program list, facility specs, fees, opening date, partnership status) as a commitment — please contact us if you need confirmation for an important decision.

This is especially important for prospective students and families: applications, admissions criteria, tuition, scholarships, and program offerings will be formalized in dedicated student documents closer to opening. The Site is informational, not a binding offer.

9. Disclaimer

The Site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make reasonable efforts to keep information accurate and the Site working, but we do not warrant that:

  • The Site will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors
  • The information on the Site is complete, accurate, or up to date at any given moment
  • The Site is free of viruses or other harmful components

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Canadian law, YSA, its board, advisors, staff, and volunteers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or opportunities — arising from your use of the Site or your reliance on its content, even if we’ve been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Site will not exceed CAD $100.

Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations of liability, so part of this section may not apply to you.

11. Your responsibility for misuse

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless YSA, its board, advisors, staff, and volunteers from any claims, damages, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Site, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable federal laws of Canada. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Alberta, sitting in Medicine Hat or Calgary.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time as the Site evolves, as our programs change, or as laws change. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of the Site after we post changes means you accept the updated Terms.
